David Schimmel, President & Creative Director

Considered one of the top emerging American designers, David began his career as a design director at Young & Rubicam then launched his own firm at the age of 23. He has worked with many of the world’s most sophisticated clients, earning multiple awards for his work.

A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with degrees in communication design and business, David served as Y&R’s Design Director where he extended brand imagery from advertising to other target-directed media, including marketing collateral, corporate literature, and packaging. Major clients included AT&T, Sony, Dupont, and Citibank.

Eager to create the core brand itself, David founded And Partners in 1999 and has built a client base including Fortune 500, non-profit, professional services, and up-market consumer companies. The firm focuses primarily on branding, corporate identity, corporate communications, marketing collateral, new media, and environmental design.

David serves on the Advisory Board of Portfolio Center in Atlanta, has taught design at The School of Visual Arts in New York City and speaks regularly at industry conferences. His work has been featured in Communication Arts, Dynamic Graphics, Graphic Design USA, Print, Step and Graphis. He was also featured in Graphic Design: USA’s People to Watch in 2003. David was awarded a Pencil from British Design and Art Direction, a Gold Pencil at the One Show, multiple gold ARC Awards and an Annual Award of Excellence from the Type Director’s Club.


Sarah Hans, Executive Vice President

Sarah has been an integral member of the And Partners team for the past five years. With more than
20 years experience in advertising and design communications, she has managed accounts for a wide variety of companies in professional and financial services, health care, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and the apparel business sector.

Fluent in the language of business and design, Sarah helps to shape shared visions, which reflect clients’objectives, while working with the creative team to evolve their ideas. The results are identity
programs, advertising campaigns, websites and print communications that win prestigious communications and design awards for many of her clients. She has helped And Partners double in size, while developing an account executive team to better support and service clients.

Sarah gained her experience at venerable firms such as Marsteller, Taylor & Ives, Pentagram,
Arnold Saks Associates, Frankfurt Balkind and Hill Holliday.

Sarah has managed accounts for AlliedSignal, Bear Stearns, Goldman Sachs, Guy Carpenter, 3M, Hoffman-La Roche, NYSE, International Paper, Knoll, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, NASD, New York Life, AlliedSignal, Pitney Bowes, SG Cowen, Siemens, ‘21’ Club, VF, Wyeth, and Xerox.

Sarah graduated from Manhattanville College, Purchase, NY with a BFA..


Brian Crooks, Art Director

Brian specializes in conceptual and design development of identity systems, branding, collateral, advertising, packaging and annual reports. He has worked with a far-flung list of clients, from global financial institutions to not-for-profit organizations and independent musicians.

A native of New York City, Brian came to And Partners from Pentagram. He was an integral member of the Citibank account that included the ThankYou Rewards program and several credit cards. While at Pentagram, he also worked with Weill-Cornell Medical College and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Before that, he was with The Sloan Group where he worked on a variety of local and national advertising programs. Brian has developed new brand identities for Time Warner Cable, Franklin & Marshall University and Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Other clients include AIG, Coca-Cola, Rizzoli, Sci-Fi Network and BMI.

A graduate of Iowa State University, Brian holds a BFA in Graphic Design and a BS in Clinical Dietetics. He is a recipient of the Type Directors citation for typographic excellence, the Type Directors Club Annual Award, and the Art Directors Association of Iowa Award of Excellence and the ARC Awards. Brian participates in the AIGA mentoring program where he encourages and supports students from the High School of Art & Design.


Nina Boesch, Senior Interactive Designer

Nina's strength is in connecting strategy, business goals, and brand to the digital milieu as she leads the creative and user experience for our interactive practice.

Her specialty in interaction design, flash development and information graphics combined with a background in formal design plays a significant role in successful online communications for our clients. Nina's portfolio contains various online and offline products for websites, desktop applications, touch screen kiosks and interactive projections.

Recent clients include One Laptop Per Child, MoMA New York, Turner Classic Movies, Strathmore Paper and the Detroit Institute of Arts. Nina's work experience includes stints at Pentagram and Four Corners in NYC, Farm Digital Media in Bremen, Germany and Experientia in Turin, Italy.

Nina has won multiple awards from the AIGA, Adobe, SEGD, IDSA, I.D. Magazine and HOW magazine.

Nina graduated from RISD in 2006 and grew up in Bremen Germany.


Felicia Soto, Designer

Felicia is a versatile designer with experience in a wide range of media including print, packaging, environmental design and interactive. At And Partners, Felicia is adept at working on vastly different types of projects while bringing a decidedly fresh approach to each assignment. She also happens to be an extraordinarily talented illustrator.

Before joining And Partners, Felicia created a complete collateral program for American Crew. Prior to that, she relocated to London where she worked with BT Global Telecommunications to create the Madrid edition of their “Connected World Art Book”.

While abroad, she also had the opportunity to collaborate with Mosley Meets Wilcox (design firm) on Paul Smith’s limited-edition vase collection which showcases Mick Rock’s photos of David Bowie.

Felicia graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Graphic Communication and has been featured in Graphis and CMYK Magazine.


Kristen Nagy, Account Executive


Kristen's natural abilities enable her to establish and build relationships with ease. Recognized for powerful communications skills and handling high-pressure situations in a professional and effective manner, her keen insights help address business challenges while working with clients to ensure that their goals are met and objectives achieved. Kristen supervises account and key vendor activities, and works closely with the creative team to ensure quality service.

Kristen has managed projects for The Corcoran Group, Vornado Realty Trust, Halstead Property, Leo Ingwer Jewelers, Mohawk Paper, NCJW, Neenah Paper, Urban American, Sage Hill School, Sustainable Life Media, Books for Kids, and the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Prior to joining And Partners in 2006, Kristen worked in the fashion wholesale industry. She honed her sales and account management skills working for Fred Perry as the Account Director for North America, with a client base of high-end retail specialty stores and department stores Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and Macy's.

A graduate of Elon University, Kristen holds a BA in corporate communications. She spent a semester abroad in Europe and another in London. She is a member of the national communications honors society Lambda Pi Eta, which recognizes outstanding leaders in the communications field.


Lauren Gabbe, Account Executive and Marketing Manager

Lauren is a dedicated professional who is extremely accomplished at marketing and managing complex creative projects. She brings elegance and calm to each engagement as she builds longstanding relationships with clients and vendors alike.

Her dual role at And Partners includes managing accounts for our clients as well as marketing and special projects on an ad hoc basis. Her resourcefulness and problem solving abilities are without equal.

Lauren comes to And Partners with 15 years experience as executive producer, studio manager and agent for the award winning commercial photography agency, B-hive. In this capacity, Lauren honed important skills such as negotiating, estimating, marketing, trouble-shooting and problem solving.

Lauren grew up in New York and Northern New Jersey and has a BA from Kutztown University.
